Casino Royale Bond Theme TuneThere has been a long tradition of having a major(ish) artist do the theme tunes to James Bond 007 movies from oldies like Shirley Bassey(Golfinger) to more recently Madonna (Die Another Day), Garbage (The World Is Not Enough) and Sheryl Crow (Tomorrow Never Dies). There was said to be a battle on to record this film's title track with artists such as Robbie Williams( he is said to be desperate to record a bond theme!!), U2, Sugababes(???) etc rumored to have recorded and submitted tracks, but in the end the coveted bond song is written and performed by Chris Cornell. You might say "who??" but Chris is well know as the frontman for Indie/rock band Audioslave. "You Know My Name" is a cool enough track and its better than the recent bond efforts but as far as im concerned it is not that original.... it feels like its been done before. As always you can judge for yourself....
