on thursday i went to the "Amerie, Nina Sky" with opening act by "Artful Dodger" concert...here's what happend. first of all there was 2 sections "Regular Standing" & "Vip Standing" i was in Vip and the area where we stood was not very crowded but the regular was jammed so i was happy that i won't be squished..i was wrong everyone was trying to get as close as possible to the stage which left a huge empty area behind us & the smell was the worst thing i have ever experienced in my life..felt like diving in a pool of sweaty armpits, the weather was humid and soo fucking hot which even made it worse.. i almost fell unconcious few times i just couldnt breathe.
Ok now about the concert..i dunno why they said "Opening Act By Artful Dodger" coz i'm pretty sure it was their concert and not amerie or nina sky, in about 2 hours nina sky and amerie came on stage for only 20 minutes each (less in ameries case) and the rest of the time i had to put up with artful dodgers playing songs not even by them but usual boring dance tracks u heard on the radio 4 or 5 months ago.. first for like 45 minutes it was Artful dodgers and then "Nina Sky" who performed selection of songs form their album (which i only knew 2 songs from it) and the rest of the time i was yawning and trying to catch one of the cd's they were tossing on us (i didn't get lucky), then again came artful dodger for more boring music, u wouldnt even notice there is music playing for about 15 minutes.. & then finally the only reason i went to see this concert "Amerie" came on stage ( i went mental just screaming like a bitch) she was soo gorgeous in a cute pink mini dress, i don't think lots of ppl even knew who she was as much a sthey knew nina sky coz no one was singing, dancing or even cheering..the songs she performed were:

...& then again artful dodger finally performed 2 songs form the old album & announced that the new album will be out by the end of summer & he performed the new single "i don't even rememebr what its called".. I think i have clips of all the amerie performances with a full clip of "one thing" that i will post on saturday when i get it off my friend's digicam.

just when i thought the sweaty smell and annoying voice of artful dodger yelling was the worst thing that could happen that night i proved myself wrong, well on the way back my friend got invited to a party that was an hour and half before my house so i told him i will take a taxi home and he should go to the party.. well i got into the taxi at 2:00am and told him where to go.. my house is exactly 1 hour from there and would cost me like 110 derhams (our money)..i slept after 20 minutes and then i woke up screaming in the taxi coz i dreamt of a huge van hitting us and falling off the bridge it felt so real that even after i opened my eyes it took me 2 minutes to realise where i was..i look outside the window and theres just soooo much smoke the fog was soo thick that even with fog lights on we can barely see the lines in the middle of the road.. i look at my mobile phone to check time and its 4:30 am !!!!!!!! i thought it was wrong so i asked him what was the time and he said "4:30" i look at the meter and its like 346 derhams..guess what ?! he took me like a state away from where i live it was over 120 kilometers into middle of nowhere desert in the wrong direction! i wanted to cry coz i was tried, stinky & scared "thinkin he was going kidnap or kill me" i told him "i will call dubai trnasportaion" and complain about this" but he gave me a sad face and told me he has kids and his salary barely pays their bills n stuff and begged me not to complain and he will stop the meter and make the ride free (i kinda felt sorry for him so i said ok)..he looked for a gas station to ask for direction and then finally got back on the right road, i reached home at probably 6 or 6:30 i didn't pay a penny..got out of the car and called dubai tranportation and told them everything happened but i didn't give them the taxi number i said "i was too angry,scared and tired" well they will probably gather all the drivers and warn them about it & they gave me a free ride to anwyhere next time i wanna go somewhere :P
