Seriously, probablly the best R&B/Pop track of 2006.And it belongs to Rhianna. Her new single written by the annoying singer of the #1 single 'So Sick', Ne-Yo, titled 'Unfaithful' is pure brilliance.
Yes it is a ballad with a piano and strings, but the concept is one that no other female artist has dared to write about. It's about a girl who constantly cheats on her boyfriend and he knows. He loves her too much to let her go but she still cheats on him and lies to him and can't stop even though she knows it's wrong. Name one other artist who sang about this. I cried.
"And I know that he knows that I'm unfaithful / And it kills him inside / To know that I am happy with some other guy"
Tell me that doesn't make you cry.
It's beautiful and it doesn't feature Rhianna with her little whiney voice. Her voice is powerful and effective.
