Cancelation of "Control Freak"!
I got some new MYA news. It seems Monica isn't the only artist to change the title of her album. Mya's new album will no longer be called CONTROL FREAK, but the name of the new album has now been changed to LIBERATION. The new single is set to be released in June/July and the album Liberation is set to drop in September.

Awesome New Republic!
ANR is a team of two multi-instrumentalist performers Brian Robertson (age 22), and Michael-John Hancock (age 23), who met and began playing together as students at the University of Miami School of Music. They have the worst name since Ninja High School. They recorded half of their lastest album "ANR So Far" in a bedroom. And they appropriate dance and pop music like smarmy indie kids, grabbing whatever they want and singing in a crooning falsetto lyrics that barely take themselves seriously. Every warning light went off when I started listening to Awesome New Republic, and yet I can't stop playing the album, which not only lives up to its own jokes and conceits but delivers some of contemporary indie rock's best neurotic party tracks.

Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt have welcomed a baby girl, Shiloh Nouvel Jolie-Pitt, a rep for the couple confirms in a statement to PEOPLE. The child was born on May 27, at night, in the African country of Namibia. The new parents, along with kids Maddox, 4, and Zahara, 1, have been staying at a luxury resort in Namibia since April, where their personal security team and Namibian police have shielded them from paparazzi. Last week, the Namibian government said foreign journalists wishing to cover the birth must have written permission from Pitt and Jolie to enter the country and obtain a work permit. The new girl is the couple's first biological child. Jolie adopted Maddox from Cambodia in 2002 and Zahara from Ethiopia last year. Pitt is in the process of legally adopting both children.

It's A Boy!
It's a boy for Gwen Stefani and her rocker husband Gavin Rossdale. Kingston James McGregor Rossdale was born by Caesarean section Friday at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, according to Stefani spokesman Dave Tomberlin. The baby weighed 7 1/2 pounds.

"Both mother and child are doing well," Tomberlin said in a statement.

It's the first child for Stefani, 36, and Rossdale, 38, who were married in 2002. Rossdale, who fronted the rock band Bush, has a 16-year-old daughter with fashion designer Pearl Lowe.

"Pet Shop Boys: A Life In Pop", a Channel 4 documentary about Pet Shop Boys, made with their full cooperation, will be shown on Channel 4 in the UK on May 24 at at 11.05pm (immediately following "Desperate Housewives"). It includes interviews with Bruce Weber, Robbie Williams, The Killers’ Brandon Flowers, Keane’s Tim Rice-Oxley and The Scissor Sisters’ Jake Shears amongst others. Neil and Chris are interviewed together at Tate Modern in London and are filmed and interviewed separately in their hometowns of Newcastle and Blackpool.

01. Waiting In The Kountry
Spiritual cowboys & indians song, about living in the open & how spiritual it is to someone whos not soo civilized living such a simple life. If this song would be converted to electronica it would fit perfectly "Goldfrapp"!

02. No Thoughts
Dumb voicemail interlude.

03. Bloody Bunnies (Superficiality)
First thing that hits your head is "wow this sounds alot like the : yeah yeah yeah" but a much softer/electronic version of them, once you hear it you will know what i mean.

04. Angel Song
Talks about being lost at some point of your life, either if you're high, horny, dumped, drunk, or depressed all the wrong things start to look right and suicide becomes an option almost too good to be true the idea that death could end it all. It's a very dreamy & melodic piano n guitar ballad.

05. Charlie's Kids
Funny electro song with a really disturbing concept, it's about a dealer who sells young kids as sex slaves.

06. Paper Heart
Dramatic dark symphonic revenge song.

07. Slopoke
About waking up the next day still hung over in someone else's bed without any idea of what happened the night before & feeling lost even though this could have been the best day to wake up on.

08. Jesus & I
King kong fighting aliens in UFO's who are trying to kidnapp a science genius dressed as jesus christ, it's about pressure the causes hallucination.

09. Sorry
Betrayal and back stabbing became a habit to every individual in this time, and the whole when to say sorry or who says sorry first becomes a dilemma. & even sometiems an innocent word such as "Sorry" could be covering a great evil. general feeling of the song is a typical mainstream pop-rock.

10. Crossing Guards With Guns
Fighting and protesting about something u spiritualy and religiously believe in that you would sacrifice yourself for that cause even if it takes to run across guards with guns, everything is happening in slow motion & all you focus on is to make it into history & the pain becomes numbing rather than painful.

11. Follow Your Heart
Starts as a mild piano cabaret ballad then slowly accelerates into a military marching anthem, very simple track & form what the title says its about following your heart.

12. Hares Don't Have Tea
Outro to the album sounds like it was recorded from a geisha prostitute performing in a high class society geisha house for a bunch of ugly wealthy old men, sexy in a dark way. perfect encore.

All the songs are performed by the female vocalist of the band "Jesika" except for "Angel Song" performed by "Todd" , The album adresses many issues and its very dark & melancholic, well produced and assorted (style-wise) it's just simply brilliant i give it 11/12 and thats only coz track #2 is a meaningless interlude.

I'm so happy. The Da Vinci Code has exceeded all expectations and has grossed 30$ m in its first day on about 3,735 Theaters! The movie hs received a lot of negative reviews by the critics and catholics. If it continues like this it might gross 80$ m by the end of the weekend which is AMAZING. Congrats to Tom Hanks for scoring another hit movie.

Abudhabi Concert Saved By Amerie !
on thursday i went to the "Amerie, Nina Sky" with opening act by "Artful Dodger" concert...here's what happend. first of all there was 2 sections "Regular Standing" & "Vip Standing" i was in Vip and the area where we stood was not very crowded but the regular was jammed so i was happy that i won't be squished..i was wrong everyone was trying to get as close as possible to the stage which left a huge empty area behind us & the smell was the worst thing i have ever experienced in my life..felt like diving in a pool of sweaty armpits, the weather was humid and soo fucking hot which even made it worse.. i almost fell unconcious few times i just couldnt breathe.

Ok now about the concert..i dunno why they said "Opening Act By Artful Dodger" coz i'm pretty sure it was their concert and not amerie or nina sky, in about 2 hours nina sky and amerie came on stage for only 20 minutes each (less in ameries case) and the rest of the time i had to put up with artful dodgers playing songs not even by them but usual boring dance tracks u heard on the radio 4 or 5 months ago.. first for like 45 minutes it was Artful dodgers and then "Nina Sky" who performed selection of songs form their album (which i only knew 2 songs from it) and the rest of the time i was yawning and trying to catch one of the cd's they were tossing on us (i didn't get lucky), then again came artful dodger for more boring music, u wouldnt even notice there is music playing for about 15 minutes.. & then finally the only reason i went to see this concert "Amerie" came on stage ( i went mental just screaming like a bitch) she was soo gorgeous in a cute pink mini dress, i don't think lots of ppl even knew who she was as much a sthey knew nina sky coz no one was singing, dancing or even cheering..the songs she performed were:

just when i thought the sweaty smell and annoying voice of artful dodger yelling was the worst thing that could happen that night i proved myself wrong, well on the way back my friend got invited to a party that was an hour and half before my house so i told him i will take a taxi home and he should go to the party.. well i got into the taxi at 2:00am and told him where to go.. my house is exactly 1 hour from there and would cost me like 110 derhams (our money)..i slept after 20 minutes and then i woke up screaming in the taxi coz i dreamt of a huge van hitting us and falling off the bridge it felt so real that even after i opened my eyes it took me 2 minutes to realise where i was..i look outside the window and theres just soooo much smoke the fog was soo thick that even with fog lights on we can barely see the lines in the middle of the road.. i look at my mobile phone to check time and its 4:30 am !!!!!!!! i thought it was wrong so i asked him what was the time and he said "4:30" i look at the meter and its like 346 derhams..guess what ?! he took me like a state away from where i live it was over 120 kilometers into middle of nowhere desert in the wrong direction! i wanted to cry coz i was tried, stinky & scared "thinkin he was going kidnap or kill me" i told him "i will call dubai trnasportaion" and complain about this" but he gave me a sad face and told me he has kids and his salary barely pays their bills n stuff and begged me not to complain and he will stop the meter and make the ride free (i kinda felt sorry for him so i said ok)..he looked for a gas station to ask for direction and then finally got back on the right road, i reached home at probably 6 or 6:30 i didn't pay a penny..got out of the car and called dubai tranportation and told them everything happened but i didn't give them the taxi number i said "i was too angry,scared and tired" well they will probably gather all the drivers and warn them about it & they gave me a free ride to anwyhere next time i wanna go somewhere :P

This is the new album (it's a 2CD box) of a very well known artist here in France for his actions against AIDS. It's his 7th album ! Even if I didn't like him that much but this album is a 'bit different and great ! There's a lot of styles on it, Piano / Pop / Electro / Rock... For me the best song is "1980" in duet with the GREAT Melissa Mars that I love, CATCHY SONG / FUTURE #1 HIT. The most interesting thing on it are the lyrics. I really didn't know them untill i saw the video of their new single
"Hi" on TV which is a very catchy fun song,
so i had to google them to find out more about them
where i discovered their amazing new album "Only Thing I Ever Wanted"
the band members Carim Clasmann and Galia Durant,
develop songs with beautiful melodies accompanied by a tasteful touch
of found noises sounds, it really sounds cool, whats also worth
mentioning they've also did the Grey's Anatomy theme song.

Electro-Infused-Pop !
So this week we start with "Kompis" formed by longtime Swedish friends Carl-Henrik Hallén and Daniel Nordh. This swedish electronica duo have all it takes to become a mainstream electronic charter but the lack of promotion killed all the chances. After releasing a random & rare demo-single "Clouds Instead Of Heads" they at last released a selftitled mini-album in 2005 containing 7 fine-electro-infused-pop songs, the first official single is "Go Down" a melancholic chilled out electro-pop track followed by the second and last single "In Somebody's Spot" a dark dancey tune with micro traces of R&B, if you're lucky enough to get your hands on the selftitled mini-album "Kompis" you will immediately connect their style to ppl like Royksopp, Mint Royale & Planet Funk. Angelic voices on the album are supplied not only by Kompis themsleves, but by guest vocalists Markus Hasselblom ''Go Down'', ''We Move'' and Hanna Gِransson ''Filthy Bills'', ''In Somebody's Spot'', who add some real class to proceedings. It's really hard ot decide which song is better than the other since the styles vary form a track to the next, Soo in "MP3 of The Week" i included the single along with another track from the album for your hearing pleasure. Throw your critic in the comments after u hear them, I wanna know what's in your head.

The release of Kelly Rowland's sophomore solo set for Columbia/Sony Urban Music, "My Story: Kelly Rowland," has been moved from July to first-quarter 2007. Manager Mathew Knowles says more time is needed to properly set up the project. "We want to make sure our marketing strategy is a multi-tiered approach that capitalizes on the synergies afforded by her other projects," Knowles tells Billboard.

Asked if more songs will now be recorded for the pushed-back set, Knowles says, "If she finds a better song or songs to add, we'll use them. But that's not the reason for changing the date. [Everyone] is pleased with the record Kelly made."

After months of speculation about the size and shape of her abdomen, the pop star confirmed to David Letterman Tuesday that she is expecting her second child with her aspiring rapper husband, Kevin Federline. Spears, who was in New York this week promoting the latest scent in her fragrance line, made a surprise Late Night appearance to break the news.
This will be the fourth child for Federline. Spears is reported due in October, just a couple of weeks after Sean Preston's first birthday.

Muse is back and this song called 'Supermassive Black Hole' is meant to be the leading single of their upcoming album 'Black Holes and Revelations'. The song is definately a grower, first time i listened, didin't like it a lot, then i heard it again and i began liking it more and so on. :p The song itself is pretty good. Very nicely done. ;)

Even with this movie being the FOURTH widest release ever; being shown in aproximately 4,054 Theatres !, it failed to out do its predesor which made 78$ m in it's first weekend while MI: III made 48$m. The movies budget was of about 150$m ! ! ! Still it's a pretty good number. I really hope this movie does a lot more business, i still haven't seen it but i surely will within the next week or so. :p

Another movie that has disappointed me Box Office wise is Scary Movie 4, this movie was f.ucking hilarious and i just thought it would cross over the 100$ m mark in three weeks. Up to now it has made around 85$ m Total. :(

Another thing, next week two great movies are being released 'Just My Luck' and 'Poseidon'; make sure you check em out ! <3

This is the most anticipated album of these coming months for me.
She released her first single ("Gabriel") some months ago and it has been on Top Charts since long time, of course, THE SONG IS AWESOME... It's Electro/Pop style, if you don't have it, you must ! Plus, she have an incredible & unique voice...
AND THE SONG IS GAY TALKING...
Coming in the end of May, this album will be awesome and surely number 1 in France for some weeks ! Why ? Because the maketing for it is really smart ! It's all about mystery on it, we don't know what is on it, what kind of music, etc... She took this from Mylène Farmer... I also see her in her first performance, she's so beautiful and fragile... She was so stressed, that was so sweet to see a new artist like that... I loved it...

Of course, you will deserve some songs when I'll buy the album, I swear. From now, the number one hit song "Gabriel", her first single...About a guy she loves, but he is in love with a guy... The lyrics are so damn great too, she wrote it...

He/Record Label is supposedly preparing a re-release of his lastest album 'You Stand Watching' that was released last year. It's supposed to come out this summer. This new song (that's previously unreleased) is gonna be included in this re-release and will be the single coming off it. The song has everything you can expect from a Ryan song, same vocals and it's a nice mid-tempo kinda ballad. :) Nice song.

Hot Chip - The Warning
The Warning is the 2nd album by Hot Chip. The band built up a loyal fanbase around their first album "Coming On Strong" which has now expanded following their hit single and support slots with Mylo, LCD Soundsystem and Goldfrapp. Representing the point in a record collection where Prince, Talking Heads, Madlib and every drunken Indie disco you've ever attended converge, Hot Chip seem poised to buck the trend of all hype being synonymous with shit, through the release of 2nd full-length 'The Warning'. Herky-jerky without reliance on the increasingly threadbare Fire Engines/Gang Of Four/ACR schematic, Hot Chip delight in cramming their music full of gloopy electro, spindly guitars and right-angled vocals - the resultant gumbo appearing both euphorically spontaneous and intricately complex. Opening with a smear of ice-water synths, first song 'Careful' sets the tone perfectly - puncturing a deceptively calm introduction with Vicks Vapour rave-stabs, a laconic vocal and frenetic beats a-go-go. From here, Hot Chip change gear completely for the syrupy electro-slink 'Boy From School', wherein the London-based mob plunder Daft Punk's less squelchy back-catalogue for inspiration, before the decks are cleared on previous single and indie-pop gem 'Over And Over'. Elsewhere, 'Arrest Yourself' is the sound of Beck sniffing a line of sherbet out back, 'So Glad To See You' tickles an emotional duet from a vocoder foundation, whilst 'No Fit State' is a synth-addled sing-a-long stomp.

It might be a weird combination of genres and sounds but you have to keep in mind the fact that they are only nerdy blokes on synthesizers.

In short, Over And Over is retro indie-disco fodder which plays on the nostalgia of when vintage electro pop really was considered futuristic. "Like the monkey with a miniature cymbal, the joy of repetition really is in you," the singer imparts, clearly referring to the old Duracel adverts. Surely this imagery is too clichéd now to impress anyone? Or will Hot Chip be the next in line to flog the dying breaths out of this old horse? We shall have to see.
